In 2024–2025, as part of our summer renovation programme, we carried out a gradual modernization of the auditorium, including the complete replacement of the seating. Due to the large number of seats (1,100), the project was implemented in two phases during the summer months, alongside other time‑sensitive renovation works.
Kinoexport was selected through a competitive tender process. The scope of the contract included the removal of the original seats and the production of new ones.
A key requirement was strict adherence to the original interior design: as the theatre is a listed building, the client required seats identical to those installed at the theatre’s opening in 1965.
The project was completed fully in accordance with the specifications, without defects or outstanding work, and to the satisfaction of both the client and the audience.
